I tried these last weekend in rainy conditions, with extremely muddy and slippery terrain. They outperformed at every level: great grip, perfectly waterproof without getting clamy, and rather comfy. Great first impression.

Sizing is accurate with a medium volume and medium stiffness. However, I wish there was a bit more height in the toe box. If adding an alternate insole or heavier sock, there is limited room. Vibram sole offers good grip and a padded upper provides ankle support.

My husband used the Vasque foot measurement guide and the fit is perfect! Very comfortable on his medium-width, pancake-flat feet. He specifically wanted a lightweight waterproof boot with a more rigid hiking sole (opposed to a flexible trail runner).
