About Under Armour

Under Armour’s global headquarters are located in Baltimore, Maryland, and multiple additional offices across the globe. Innovative performance apparel, footwear, and casual wear are where it’s at. This company was started by Kevin Plank in his grandmother’s basement in 1996.
Through humble beginnings with a team sale here and there, Under Armour was soon contracted with North Carolina State University, Arizona State University, and other Division I football teams. Success skyrocketed from that point and soon HeatGear led to ColdGear and onward.
Launching their Women’s line in 2003 only added to their growth. More and more products were released onto the market to solve problems many people didn’t know were problems until they discovered the Under Armour perspective. Days of wringing out sweat from shirts and... fearing the winter cold sweats are long gone with the company’s Heat and ColdGear.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between HeatGear and ColdGear?

HeatGear is designed for 20 degree celsius days and above. Keeping you cool and dry, it wicks sweat to the fabric surface to evaporate. ColdGear is made for days 13 degrees and below, circulating body heat while keeping you dry.

Does Under Armour Shrink?

Depending on the material blend, many shirts with 50% cotton or more will shrink about half a size in the dryer. If you like a looser fitting shirt without it being baggy, size up, otherwise look at the material specifications.

What makes Under Armour so special?

Under Armour has an innovative moisture-wicking system in its fabrics and garments. Your clothes stay dry even when you sweat, and since its inception, the company has produced many innovative solutions to performance dilemmas from socks to underwear.
