Great base

I use to be a die-hard icebreaker fan but find smartwool makes equivalent (and sometimes superior) product for less. This base layer falls into the superior product category. Comfortable and warm, great quality nicer waistband. Just a great product.

Best base layers

Very warm. They do shrink a bit after first wash but nothing major. I really like the high waist and the fly!

Very warm base layer bottoms

Perfect for very cold days, bellow -10 degrees celsius. They feel good, are soft and not itchy like other brands. They can be used for warmer days with just a shell pant on top. Great job Smartwool!

Very nice

Bought as a gift for my dad, very warm and good quality. Turns out it was a bit small (harder to know the right size when it’s a gift, I’m sure it runs true to size) so I had to return and exchange it for a bigger size.

Not Itchy, but can be itchy. Love my pair though.

It's not that it makes you feel warmer like when you throw a blanket over you, but it does retain the warmth that you have well. Walking outside is cold but the thermals make the cold more bearable; and NOT freezing.
It's soft, and cozy; and I enjoy wearing it.
