Nice boot! But not what I needed

Beautiful boot. Pretty narrow, so be warned. Seems like a great boot for day hiking and light backpacking. I actually needed more ankle support so had to return these to find something more stiff

Sturdy and customizable insoles with multiple options for best fit

Best pair of hiking boots I've had to date! The quality is top notch. They come with some optional, additional inserts to put under the insole to customize the inside volume for the best possible fit. I'm looking forward to many years of great hikes with these!

Update

Boots are still great but after buying them I realized Salewa was conducting a safety recall on these. I contacted Altitude Sport to let them know and they never replied. I also called them but their employee was clueless. Kind of a bummer to sell a product thats on recall and know nothing about it

Perfect Alpine boots

I have high expectations for these boots. I have had 2 other salewa footwear product that eventually went defective. These boots are the perfect alpine boots. Fits true to size and perhaps slightly larger. Great sole compound and climbing zone. Great sceambling boots. I will be using them for summer alpine climbing/scrambling in the Whites.

Plus petit que d'habitude (marque Italienne)

Le produit semble très bon mais malheureusement il est fait plus petit que les produits nord-américains. On peut observer la qualité de cette marque italienne avec sa membrane en Gore-Tex et ses semelles ajustables en largeur.

Comfortable boots

I can't talk about how they will perform in time since I bought them recently. However, one thing stands out, they are very comfortable. There no need to break them in. On the less positive side,bthe shoelaces are short and the inserts are not supportive and seem of cheap quality

Très confortable

Sincèrement, les produits Salewa me font comme un gant. Il faut dire que je n'ai pas des pieds de Hobbit. J'ai les pieds long et fin comme ceux des elfes... Ok. J'arrête de déconner. Les bottes sont vraiment parfaites.

Reliable protection: The Alp Trainer 2 is a progressive mid-cut hiking boot with a hard-wearing, high-quality suede and stretch fabric upper and a waterproof, breathable GTX Extended Comfort lining that provides reliable protection for hiking in variable terrain and diverse conditions. It has a generous front rubber rand for additional rock and scree-resistant protection.

Adaptable comfort: Designed for step-in comfort right out of the box, it enables a precise, supportive and wrapping fit. Our proprietary, trademarked 3F System with a steel cable ensures firm ankle support and side stability, while the Flex Collar increases the ankle’s rear range of motion and comfort during descents. In addition, the customisable SALEWA® Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) has interchangeable layers that allow you to further fine-tune the volume. And the Climbing Lacing allows adjustment right down to the toe for better performance on technical sections.
