Always classic moc toe

Briar oil slick is a very good color for aging. Size down by a half size is the sizing suggestion.

great looking but hard to break in

I normally wear 12 or 13 and got these in 12. The length fits fine but I do find them a bit narrow and there are hot spots on the sides of my toes as a result. They look great and it's clear that everything is high quality but they do take a lot of work to break them in. The Red Wing Moc-toe was built to withstand hard labor and harsh weather conditions. The name Red Wing ‘Moc Toe' derives from ‘Moccasin', the traditional Algonquian Indian word for the U-shape design of the toe. The Red Wing Shoes 8138 is soft and greasy variation on the ultimate Red Wing classic: The Red Wing 875. The Red Wing 8138 boot has a white Cushion Crepe Wedge outsole with Traction Tred and provides maximum grip and outstanding comfort.
