Great first impression

Great so far! I'm 5'8" 160lb and I like the way the large fits. Room to move but not overly baggy. Smooth zips and great hood. Minus one star because it doesn't have an integrated stuff sack.

Great for light use

The vital hoody is an extremely light weight garment that will shield you from the wind. The upside of this is it’s pack ability however I was looking for something that could stand up to climbing rock multipitches for a couple of seasons. I ended up going with the Rab Borealis instead.

Great!

Nice lightweight windbreaker style jacket, similar to the Squamish from Arc'teryx, but with much better pricing and hand side pockets (!!!). Compresses really small and will be an excellent lightweight piece to add to your adventures!

Light but very thin

Pros: jacket is light and easily packable;
Cons: jacket runs small, is very thin (looks very delicate and easy to tear) and not very breathable;
Verdict: Good purchase if on sale (around 100$).
I’m 5’10’’ 205 lbs and large is slightly small

Excellent summer windbreaker

The Vital Hoody by Rab is a quality made windbreaker, mostly for cooler summer weather, but could also be used in spring/fall with extra layering. The jacket is slim fit, super lightweight, and well constructed with side and inner pockets. Will use it extensively for hiking, biking and other outdoors sports in cooler conditions.
