It’s very good as a windbreaker. It’s not designed to be waterproof, and that’s why I bought it, it’s That ideal balance of breathable but some water protection and wind protection. It packs down tiny into the chest pocket to fit in a belt bag or clip to the bike. I was worried it would tear quickly, as it feels and looks tissue paper thin. But it is not fragile ! it’s survived mtb all year round, winds up shoved in the back or the truck, tramped on by kids, and it keeps going. I sized up, I’m always a small in Patagonia and went with the medium and no regrets, it’s not baggy but has room in the shoulder. Oh and the hood is fantastic under a bike helmet, has a toggle at the back to angle the hood away from your vision.
