I wear it at -20 and it keeps me warm!! Very light so makes it perfect for everyday wear or for some hiking/snowshoeing.

Versatile packable jacket
Review by Melissa L. on 13 Sep 2022 review stating Versatile packable jacket
The jacket fits slightly wider than most. While this was a comfortable, relaxed fit, it wasn't s flattering for someone like me who is short. Outside of fit, this seems like the perfect travel jacket that can do it all!

Patagonia never lets down
Review by Mark T. on 14 Jun 2022 review stating Patagonia never lets down
I’ll start off by saying this is not a down jacket in terms of warmth. It really is a jacket for around 0C. Perfect for humid or wet weather, it’s a very warm hoody. It pairs perfectly with a rain jacket and that allows you to go colder. Recommend for PNW

Thin but surprisingly warm
Review by Stephanie on 4 Jan 2021 review stating Thin but surprisingly warm
This jacket was very thin, much thinner than I had expected. Even so, it was pretty warm. I was looking for something thicker, so I’ll be returning it. It fit quite small too, so I would size up if you’re usually between sizes like I am.

Worth the wait!!
Review by Samantha G. on 16 Jul 2020 review stating Worth the wait!!
I have been researching this coat and going back and forth over it for well over a year trying to justify the price when I got very lucky and hit a good deal during alti fest this summer and having saved up a lot of money in credit to finally get it and it was totally worth it! Out of the box the first thing I noticed is it's actualy very matte in...Read MoreRead more about I have been researching this coat and
colour (I got black) compared to the pictures that sometimes make it look shinier. I'm 5'9" around 140 lbs with very few curves and the medium fits very nicely on my figure, but I've seen complaints that this jacket is not make for big chests or wide hips and I can see that being an issue. Another complain I see is that when zipped all the way up it feels constricting on the neck, and although I personally just find it to be just comfortably snug to keep out the wind or snow, be aware that it is definitely not a loose fit. The only complaint I really have is that with my lack of hips I prefer tightening the waist of my jackets and luckily this jacket has a cord, but it's only on one side, so when I tighten it to where I would like it, it bunches on one side. This is something that Patagonia could easily fix by adding another cord on the other side. Overall it's a beautiful coat, I love that it's not too puffy so that I can fit it under my rain jackets to create a fall or spring coat, but with the medium for me it's not so tight that I can't fit a fleece on underneath. During the wet springs and unpredictable falls of southern Quebec/Ontario where I spend my time, layering is very important! Unfortunately I can't speak for the warmth of this jacket yet as it's only July, but I see complaints of people saying it didn't keep them warm during -15 C winters like they wanted, but if you read the description of the jacket on Patagonia, it's not intended to do that. It won't be my go to jacket in a Montreal January, but I feel very confident that with layering it will be pefect for Oct-Dec and Mar-May, especially when traveling and I can pack it up very small! Yes the jacket is expensive, but certain colours go on sale all the time, and paying for unethical working conditions and unenvironmental practices is more expensive in my opinion, plus Patagonia will guarantee their products for life, so for me it's worth it! Sweet little jacket to take off the chill!
Review by Alana J. on 13 May 2020 review stating Sweet little jacket to take off the chill!
Previously owned the North Face Thermoball (2015 model). In comparison, I think the Thermoball is a bit warmer, has longer sleeves, and has a less boxy fit. This Nano Puff in xs was a bit too tight in my shoulders and short in arms but fit elsewhere. Will need to size up to small, but it will be a bit baggy in the body/ waist. Overall though it's ...Read MoreRead more about Previously owned the North Face

Patagonia Nano Puff
Review by Zamy B. on 9 Feb 2019 review stating Patagonia Nano Puff
Love how the jacket fits but really not warm at all. It’s good to 5 degree celcius then need a fleece under it. Was hoping it would be good for cold weather.

Comfortable and practical
Review by Krystal M. on 2 Mar 2025 review stating Comfortable and practical
I love that it folds in a little pouch which makes it easier for travel. The jacket is very lightweight yet provides warmth. I bought this for hiking and travel and do not regret it. I am 5,9, 155lbs and got a medium.

I bought this jacket for winter-sports but it’s too thin to go out in any type of NB winter weather.

Nano Versatility.
The women’s NANO PUFF Insulated hoody is versatile enough as a micro-belay hoody or insulated jacket. PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Eco provides water-repellent, compressible warmth, retaining 98% of heat even when wet. A 100% recycled ripstop poly shell – bluesign-approved – keeps the wind and water off. DWR treatment helps repel water. Brick-patterned quilting keeps the insulation in place. The hood can be fit under a helmet. A soft wicking inner storm flap is parked behind the front zip, and a chin zip garage means next-to-skin comfort. Two zip handwarmers and an inner zip chest pocket are storage options. The inner pocket doubles as a stuff sack for the whole hoody, fixed with the attached carabiner clip-in loop. A drawcord-adjustable drop-tail hem seals warmth in and keeps the wind at your back, not on it.
