h this pack and is very comfortable but is on the heavy side. Seems to be robust and durable but time will tell. I love that a rain cover is included.
I will be using this while hiking and it’s large enough for a weekend getaway if I pack lightly.

Stratos Hiking Pack 34L - Men's

I purchased this pack for winter hiking and snowshoeing, and for long full day mid-summer hikes. My other packs are too large or too small for these activities. This one fits me well and is well constructed. It has not let me down yet. Built-in rain cover and pockets on the waist belt large enough for my phone are bonuses.

Great bag for Day hikes

I wanted to upgrade from my Deuter Futura 28L, as I was doing longer day hikes, and just wanted something bigger. back is that my old Deuter had a zippered inner flap which connected the two compartments, allowing you to make one large compartment if you wanted to. It’s a shame that the Osprey does not have that feature, but it may not be a big deal, as the additional volume of this new bag will compensate for that. Read Less

nsiderable research and reading other people's experiences I decided upon a 30 to 40 litre pack. I narrowed it down to a 34 or 36 litre Osprey Stratos pack. I decided upon the 34 litre Osprey pack given I prefer a front loader to a top loading pack. The front loading pack makes it easier to load and find things afterwards. If I need more carrying space for a portion of my trip, I can attach external pouches to increase my carrying capacity. Read Less

ough room for all essentials plus some emergency gear. And the panel load design is a much nicer option for when you plan to access things frequently during the day rather than digging around through a top loader and having all the heavy items migrate to the bottom. This pack feels like it weighs nothing and has enough adjustment to fit me and I typically use an extra large in Osprey packs. There are lots of exterior attachment points if you want to tie up poles, axe, lights shoes, etc. And the suspension is very airy and directs the weight to your hips. One thing that seems a little different is that the belt pockets seem a little further back compared to some other models and its going to be a little harder to access things like a bear banger in a hurry, although this does leave more room on the belt to get a bear spray holster in a good position where it is accessible yet you are not bumping it with your arms when you walk. Right decision

I wasn't sure if I should go with the Talon 26 or the Stratos 34L but ended up choosing this one due to more storage room, the additional raincape and overall more flexibility in case I need more gear for a longer hike. The anti-gravity system is incredible and I can highly recommend getting yourself one!
