Great hoodie

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. The fabric is thin but warm so it’s good for layering. The medium fits true to size, with arms long enough to fit my 6’3” husband.

However, be advised that in spite of its thinness and lightweight construction, it very much should function as your midlayer--it is not a base layer, and it will not insulate you. Its wind-stopping abilities are extremely limited, but that is not what this article of clothing promises.

I have, thus far, comfortably traipsed about in -18C with a merino base layer, this mid layer, and a sherpa-lined hoodie. I feel like a new man conquering antarctica. It's true to size and hugs your body, and it absolutely will feel a little odd if you're not expecting the article to hug your body. It feels very comfortable and does not itch or scratch or make you wish you were never born while wearing it. Sometimes I wish I never had to take it off--but once you get moving, you sometimes have to unzip because you'll find you're warmer than you wanted to be!

Basically, suffice to say: I am a believer. If I could kiss Mountain Hardwear on the lips, I would. Genuinely, I cannot wait to leave the house now--and I've always firmly been in the camp of "the moment it is less than ten degrees celsius, I will not leave my fortress of solitude. "
