Back to the tent. It's easy to setup (roughly 15 min) and very comfortable for a family of 4 or 5. My 2 year old son could run in the tent while my 13 year old daughter chilled out reading in the small room. All that with our 4 individual mats laying on the floor and gear in the small room. It's nice and bright and resists water very well. We put it to the test for a 2 day rain fest and it's still super dry. The only tiny inconvenience I found was for my wife who's pregnant when trying to unzip the large vestibule door. She found it a bit uncomfortable to reach out to the bottom of the vestibule and during rainy nights, the angle of the vestibule exposes you directly to rain. Advice: keep your shoes/boots close to the tent in the vestibule so you don't get them wet when opening the tent. Although the vestibule is too small to sit in or stand, it's large enough to keep your shoes dry. The overall tente size largely compensates. And it is really bright. Orange is not my favorite color, but even in rainy times, you feel energized by the incoming light. My daughter loves the curtain and there's more storage nets than you need. I don't think I'd want this out in a gale force event just because of the sheer size, but in a typical summer shower or day long thunderstorm it is fine. We have both the 6P and 8P, and the 8 is *significantly* larger than the 6 with the bolted on extension. This gives a tonne of room, however the side extension is less stable than the base, and requires good staking and use of guidelines. I'm not sure how they claim that part is "freestanding", but it is a minor issue since almost no tent with this height and size is entirely and perfectly freestanding in this price class.The tent has excellent ventilation with the fly off, and reasonable ventilation with the fly on and doors opened. Great size and very roomy, very tall.
