Flat foot go wide!

Last year I had Speedgoat 5 gtx mid. During a 4 day hike, my feet were in so much pain. Tried wearing it again, and I guess my foot remembered the discomfort that I can never use again. I bit the bullet and went for a wide low cut non gtx. Speedgoat 6. I chose wide for better fit for my flat feet, better splay for my forefoot. Although thinner material than gtx version they were perfect for summer, and even spring and fall. (I believe mid gtx are best for winter. ) I haven’t tested how quick it would dry if soaked but I believe the cushion material at the heel would take some time.
The low cut gives less support on the ankles. I wish they had these shoes in a higher mid cut without the goretex. Read Less

Version améliré

Nouvelle version des soeedgoat amélioré, plus légère et mieux construite. Par contre plus étroite0, je suis passer a la version large et c'est parfait !

La meilleure version des Speedgoat jusqu'à maintenant!

J'ai possédé les Speedgoat 4, 5 et 6, et je peux affirmer que les Speedgoat 6 sont les plus confortables jusqu'à maintenant. J'ai opté pour la version wide même si je n'ai pas les pieds particulièrement larges, et je ne le regrette pas du tout! Does the job well!

I mainly use these as hiking shoes. They have been on a wide variety of terrain, including gravel, pavement, sand, volcanic rock and mud. They performed very well in all conditions, maintaining their grip and comfort. I'm glad the Speedgoat 6 comes in wide sizes, as the fit of the regular SG6 was rather narrow. Satisfying purchase.

Men’s bought for lady’s wear

I bought a men’s size 71/2 for myself, a lady, usually size 8 1/2-9 and they were perfect. The grippy bottom on the speedboat is fantastic for light hiking. The cushion is something I have come to depend on. Just hope the top holds up. Previous versions have worn holes in my bunion area.

Hoka Speedgoat 6

I found the new lacing configuration weird and I couldn’t get the same fit as last year so I returned them. I found they fit a bit smaller than the 5.

Best for long trail

As expected from Hoka, these goat trail 6 were exactly what I was looking as comfort, adherence and protection. Best shoes for long ultra so far.
