Haven't used them yet.

This is an initial review:
- Solid construction, these feel like they will hold up well if taken care of
- Grips are super comfortable
- They are lightweight
- Locking mechanisms are stiff, but I'm guessing they'll ease up a bit after some use

Great lightweight trekking poles, very durable for hard hikes too

These Alpine Trail Corks are actually the exact same model that Alpaca Expedition rented out on their multi-day Inka Trail hike in Peru. I've witnessed my cohort being brutal with them. I bought another pair from Altitude Sports for my spouse. They've been test at home on Canadian Shield rocks. Great buy for those looking for carbon fibre durable poles!

Note: The Alpine Carbon cork poles do not come with accessories - you're buying just the poles. I already have my own Black Diamond poles so I know which add-ons are compatible. For rubber tips (required to hike trails like Inka Trail and certain USA National Parks), you're looking up Black Diamond's "Trekking Pole Tip Protectors". For mud gaskets, you want "Black Diamond Trekking Mud Baskets" which are currently sold out. For snow gaskets, you need "100 mm Powder Basket" to be compatible with the Black Diamond Alpine Cork poles. Read Less

Pretty good.

These are definitely lighter than my older pair of Black Diamond poles. I wish they compressed more and had a built in tool for making adjustments to the clasps. The first pair I received had a broken clasp but Altitude hooked me up very quickly

Best I have ever used.

The cork grip on these and carbon construction are fantastic. They won't retract randomly like my old ones either. I would note that they don't get as short as they could because of the way the mechanism works, but probably still top of the line.

Super light and easy to fold

Lightweight and easy to fold. Check your size on the Black Diamond website before ordering. I am 5’10 and picked the 120 size, which is right.

A few quirks

This is an initial review out of the box. The clamps appear to be sturdy metal and should last a long time. The adjustment for the clamp is teeny tiny allen key. If your clamp for some reason got loose in the field and you didn't have the allen key you would be outta luck. I taped some cord to mine and I'll clip it in my backpack. out a way to store a key with the poles. The other quirk I have found is the shafts are not a consistent diameter. What this means is when the poles are in the compact position the clamps do not behave the same as when extended. You'll have to play with the adjustment to figure this out. Alpine Carbon Cork Trekking Poles - Unisex

These poles worked well on the trail. They are lightweight, adjustable and easy to use; I personally prefer the cork handle. The only issue was one of the poles has some difficulty extending in the lower section, but it's not a huge deal. Would recommend.
