Altra Lone Peak

A fabulous zero drop shoe best for trail running/walking. Version 8 fits similar to the older Version 6.

First pair of running shoes

First pair of running shoes that I own that is so generous in the toe box area and I will never go back. It is also my first pair of shoes with a zero heel drop and I’ve had no issues adapting, despite having plantar fasciitis. They accommodate my orthopaedic Insoles without the need to remove the sole in the shoe (it is removable).

Souliers confortables

Vous avez les pieds larges…. Ces souliers de courses font une large place aux orteils. Zéro drop et bon ressenti du sol pendant la course. Les adeptes des souliers plus minimalistes y trouveront leur compte. Achat recommandé si vous recherchez un « box toe » large, une sensation près du sol et un confort remarquable.

Sole Too Stiff

These are comfy on the foot, but I feel the lack of flexibility in the sole and foot bed when running. The width is close to perfect, not too wide that they feel like slippers, but not too narrow that I feel rubbing on big toe or 5th metatarsal. Lone Peak 8 Shoe

Altra is my favorite brand for its comfort and wide toe box. Will be using them regularly and expect them to last. Took 1/2 size larger than normal, preferred a little more room at the toe box.

Super souliers pour la longue rando !

Je suis un adepte des souliers minimalistes et dans ma tête, Altra étaient trop bulky pour faire partie de cette catégorie. En aout dernier, j'ai été randonner dans les Écrins pendant 20 jours et j'ai dû essayer les Altra en urgence. À ma grande surprise, j'ai adoré le confort, la légèreté et la respirabilité de ces souliers. Très satisfaite !

Comfy

So comfortable ! my feet are thanking me😊. Colour is very bright, would be nice to have more choices. I will use them mainly for walking, hard to walk in regular sneakers now.

Recommend

I recently developed plantar facilities from too tight a soleus muscle from running, and was struggling.
The zero drop wide toe box Altras are saving my feet (and mental health!).
I bought these for the gym, and they are great to get good purchase and form for squats and deadlifts among others.

Good entry into Zero drop shoes

Switched from Hoka Speedgoat.
Amazing grip on the trails, toe box fits like gloves (have wide feet)

Comfy, fast, and colourful!

I’m replacing a worn out pair of trail runners made by another brand and my first impression of these shoes is great. I have a wider foot and love the ample toe box in a lightweight package. The flashy orange/maroon colours look great and get me pumped to get after it! After the first 50km or so, I am very happy with the purchase.
