the surface feel was so amazing as was the way these wrapped around my feet like a snug wrap. The flatter lugs on the bottom may also play a role in the smoothness of the run as the Trail version isn't flat on the bottoms but quite irregular. In any case, I had a wonderful run, faster than my normal speed as they just felt great on each landing of the feet. I wasn't sure I would appreciate having to lace these up, but I actually like the snugness I can achieve without the quick lace system -- quite comfortable. I had only planned on using these as day-to-day shoes as they were recommended as a great all-arounder VFF, but I can easily see taking runs in them regularly as well. I hope Altitude will get other types of these FiveFingers in stock as I'd be eager to try a V-Run pair as well for comparison! Very happy with these and I also love the all-black version that make my feet look like a ninja haha.

Size Note: I typically wear one particular size in Euro size, but I was told to get a size down and let them stretch to my feet. I don't regret getting one size smaller as they indeed feel amazing and I know they will mould to my feet over the coming post-Christmas months.

If you are a Vibram Fivefingers (Minimalist toe shoes) user, then you would find this one cushioned and comfortable for longer time on foot. I use them for hiking and for long runs on the road. Versatile shoes, fit like KSO Evo but more cushioned.

They have an amazing glove-like fit, and the sizing seems to be dead-on in my case.
I think they are about the purest form of barefoot shoe that you can get. I have been suffering from foot pain and I am hoping these might help strengthen my foot where it needs it.

Amazing shoe if you want to venture into the woods/trails using a minimalistic approach. I ordered 1/2 size down from what I would usually get. E.g. I run the Altra Lone Peak in 12 and the V-Trek in 11.5-12 works well for me.
