This is a great layering piece for winter activities, such as skiing, it's very lightweight but does a great job at keeping you warm. I would even say that one could wear this on its own, over a base layer, when the temperature isn't too low and it isn't too windy out. The hand gaiter is great for added warmth under gloves.
