Great vest, however…

Love Nathan products. I have another Nathan Hydration Vest that’s much heavier duty, but I wanted something lighter for shorter runs. True to its name--light as a feather

When I trained for and ran my first half marathon, I used a running belt for carrying water, gummies, and my keys, and HATED it. It rode up constantly, no matter how much I tightened it, and if I wore the belt higher, then my arms hit the water bottles as I ran. ally, really sweaty runner, so I was always leery of wearing a hydration vest and essentially adding an extra layer of clothing for running. I bought this as an impulse buy when it was on sale, and I am surprised at how quickly I adapted to wearing this for longer runs! It is lightweight, breathable, and doesn't ride up. There is minimal bounce with the included 414 mL soft flask with the bite valve which is convenient to drink from (slightly underfill so it doesn't bounce).

I am 5'5", ~137 lb, and small chested, and I purchased the S/M, only because I don't think I realized there was an XXS/XS version, as that size wasn't in stock when I purchased. I have the sides cinched as far as they will go, and the vest fits fine.

Not sure why they didn't include a second soft flask for the other pocket, but I purchased a 500 mL size on sale for longer runs. I have only carried my water, keys, and gummies in it. The front pockets are velcro and not zippered; I'd suggest for future iterations that Nathan make one of those front pockets zippered so you don't have to worry about your keys bouncing out!

Overall ,for your "shorter long runs", haha, where you don't need a ton of space for gear or serious amounts of fluids, this vest is a great option. Look for a sale and pick one up! Read Less
