Don’t have a choice

This add on is needed for the new filters for the gravity water filter, it works great, so did the previous version which is no longer available.

Less expensive filter option

Allows my Base Camp filter to use the cheaper and more durable Be Free filters that I carry anyway (because the Be Free filters are fantastic for on the go filtering and everyone in my party has their own) so I dont have to carry an extra filter or worry about crushing the original Base Camp filter.

Screw on reservoir cap has a convenient "clip" for holding the hose that also acts as a handle - but it does appear to be made of a more brittle plastic than the original.

Just what I needed!

This is just what I needed to switch my old Kayadyn Base Camp filter to use the better Be Free Katadyn filter. I'm so happy I can use the better and less expensive filters now!

s conversion kit as I would prefer to use gear for as long as I can until it pretty much breaks. This kit does exactly that job. With the BeFree filter that fits in here, I can also choose to just bring the Katadyn 1L soft bottle and the BeFree filter when going ultralight. Read Less
