Good running shoe

Very comfortable off the bat, at leasr the women’s version which I have. The men’s version fits slightly small, I would say to size up half a size.

J'ai acheté ce soulier pour courir en hiver et je suis vraiment content de mon choix. Son amorti est efficace et son maintien offre une bonne stabilité sur les routes enneigées. Bref, le Challenger 7 assure une excellente sécurité et un confort optimal dans les conditions hivernales.

My second pair and love the comfort!

This is my second pair of Hoka Challenger 7 ATR’s. They are true to size. The toe box has plenty of room but it is not wide by any means, especially if you require a wide fit. Winter running

I have used them for winter running as low as -13C and so far so good.
The grip is good but could be better on hard packed snow. The Goretex does a good job of keeping your feet dry and acting as a wind stopper.
It’s a good shoe for winter city running when you will encounter ice, slush, asphalt and hard packed snow.

Built at the intersection of road and trail, the Challenger 7 ATR has been completely reimagined from the ground up. Combining a simplified mesh upper with a soft new foam, we’ve increased the stack height for a plusher feel and added GORE-TEX INVISIBLE FIT with recycled content product technology for enhanced protection in inclement weather. Inspired by gravel tires, we’ve cued up smaller, tightly spaced lugs in center and larger, more aggressive lugs at the perimeter designed for improved traction on uneven terrain.
