La Machine 2 Mini Touring Skis - Unisex
CAN $1,098.99
La Machine Mini is a carbon-loaded touring ski that’s as light as a feather, with a unique and progressive shape that’s designed specifically for skiing off piste.
It's softer and 200g lighter than our popular Agent skis, keeping your legs fresh even on the longest of touring missions. Its ultra-rockered shape caters to playful skiers who enjoy swishing and smearing through everything from squeaky-dry snow in the morning, to sun-baked potatoes in the afternoon. Backed by the finest, most durable Austrian construction, powered 100% by renewable energy.
• Paulownia is an extremely lightweight wood core with excellent strength properties. Paulownia provides beautiful flex and vibration absorption without adding bulk, making it an ideal wood core for a touring ski that performs just as well on the uphill as on the downhill. Fun fact: Paulownia and Karuba wood share near identical properties and are distinguished by the region in which the wood grows
• Two full-length sheets of Carbon Fiber sandwich the wood core, for a lightweight yet responsive and torsionally rigid ski
• Recycled Materials
• Locally Sourced Materials
• Sustainably-Harvested Wood Core
• Full Strength Sidewall
• Elliptical Sidecut is made up of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radii in the tip and tail of the ski. The long radius underfoot means you can pivot faster and easier, while a shorter radius in the tip and tail result in easier turn initiation. This sidecut allows for a wide variety of turn lengths, angles and mounting positions
• Micro-cap construction is a hybrid of a premium, sandwich sidewall construction fused with a lightweight, durable cap construction. With micro-cap, the sandwich construction provides awesome edge hold and torsional stability while the ski’s topsheet wraps around and meets the sidewall, protecting the fragile joint that can be prone to chipping
• This flex works best for most skiers. Enjoy stability in front of, and behind the binding area to provide solid edge hold. Then, we transition to smooth, progressive flex in the tips and tails to easily absorb all the different bumps and snow debris the mountain throws at you. This flex allows for progression and for an easier turn initiation and finish
