Terribly uncomfortable

The arch on those sandals is too much, I can’t wear them without having cramps in my feet.

Chaco Lowdown

I've owned several pairs of the Chaco Z1 Classics over the years all the way back to the 90's and have been very happy with fit, function and durability. on the outside of the heel. When I have the forefoot portion of the strap adjusted to a comfortable tension, the walking motion over ~400m causes my heel to slip backwards as the stap slips through the slots rendering the forefoot area too snug and my heel off the back of the footbed. Chaco customer service was unable to resolve my issue. I think my only option to make this model work is to peramanently stitch the heel portion in the desired position. Note this model effectively has one strap that runs from the heel to the forefoot whereas the Z1 has a permanently fixed heel portion. My feeling is there needs to be more friction at the slots in order to isolate the heel and forefoot areas. Read Less

Lowdown Sandal

Purchased for upcoming summer trip to Europe. Fits true to size and is much lighter than my other Chaco sandals. Seems to be built well like all Chaco products. Can’t comment on how they will hold up as I have only worn them around the house so far.

Decent camp sandal

These worked well for me as a camp shoe. Some of the other problems reported (strap too long, back strap unadjustable) are definitely true, but as strictly a lightweight camp shoe, I have minimal complaints.

Simple and nice

Like many reviews, there is a higher arch. This is great for my feet but might not be for everyone. Not having half sizes is not ideal. I'm normally a 10 but it was too big so I had to buy a 9. 9. 5 would have been better.
But they are comfortable and will pack small and flat for travel.

Comfortable everyday sandals

Ordered the sandals thos summer and used it for multiple occasions - everyday runs to trail walks, find it comfortable.
Took a few months to get used to the high arch and another gripe for me has been the lack of any form or rigidity of the back strap.
Overall satisfied with the product.
