Not waterproof

I really like the fit of these boots with the exception of the top part being a bit stiff and one of the hooks created a bit of a pressure point. Unfortunately these boots are NOT weatherproof. Your feet will get wet.

Too Narrow

I love Altra and have several pair of shoes. I was super excited to try these mids- but they are significantly narrower than the Lone Peak shoes so I had to send them back. Come on Altra- you whole selling point is the big toe box- not cool to make things narrow now.

Way too narrow, couldn't walk in them; white soles!?

I've had 2 pairs of Lone Peak trail running shoes now, which I love. The hiking boot version, however, I could barely even put on!

Love these boots!

Great toe room and lots of cushioning on the sole. I bought half a size up for thicker socks which works but regular size would have been fine too

Not as wide as Lone Peak 6, but still does the job

I wore these on a summit hike up Mt. Fuji in hours-long sideways rain and they kept my feet perfectly dry. I think they would be great for hiking in rain/wet conditions, and the length is just enough to keep dirt and rocks out while not restricting movement too much.

ear a 9 in Lone Peak 6 & Escalantes, and I had to go a half-size up (I think a full-size would also have fit me). If you have narrower feet or are planning to use the default insole that comes with the shoe, you can probably order your normal size. Everyone else should try a half or full size up if you can! Great fit

Loved my altra lone peak 6’s but wanted something for winter. I sized up to a 7.5 as other reviews suggested these ran a bit smaller- plus I wanted more room for thicker socks and it was the perfect decision- even with my thickest wool socks it fits well!

Not as felixible

Not as felixible as expected, toe area is roomy.
But toe roomy area also easy to cause toe forward when downhill. Becareful and try enough before you buy make sure it fits your need.

Je trouve que c’est un peu un hybride soulier de courses et bottes. Très léger et beaucoup d’espace pour les orteils. Support à la cheville impressionnant. Je les aime beaucoup. C’est ce que je recherchais.
