If you’re a Salomon fanatic who loves adding new shoes to your technical shoe line-up, your footwear collection is about to get a little more black with Salomon’s limited edition S/LAB Black Edition collection. New this season, Salomon’s S/LAB collection is getting a subtle makeover. Replacing their eye-catching colours with shades of black, the S/LAB Black Edition collection blends the sleek designs you love with the sharp elegance of black.
Created in the Salomon design center in Annecy, the Salomon S/LAB Black Edition evolved from the idea of creating “a serious look, for serious progress.” Available in three different models (S/LAB Sonic Black LTD, S/LAB Wings 8 black LTD et S/LAB Speedcross Black LTD), the Black Edition is sure to be a new favourite on the streets, the forests and the mountains.
All three models are quite similar offering neutral arch support and a 8mm or 9mm drop. The midsole height varies within the three as well as the weight with the Wings 8 weighing the most at 285g per shoe and the Sonic weighing the least at 180g per shoe.
Style and appearance wise, if you are looking for a versatile running shoe that is as easy as at home in casual attire after work as it is paired with your running kit, you may want to choose the Sonic or the Wings 8 model. Designed with a more road, lifestyle and urban look, these shoes are the perfect companion for the urban dweller looking for a functional running shoe.
For the dedicated trail runner putting in kilometres on the dirt, rocks and roots, the Speedcross is more suited to your needs. This trail running shoe is equipped with a Premium Wet Traction Contagrip outsole and lugs that enhance traction on rough terrain.
