Strange fit. Possible defective sewing. Not too comfy.

I wanted to like this. I already own a MH Airmesh crew shirt and find it ridiculously good under a light wind layer for running in cold temps. I've run in -10 C with just that and a TNF Ventrix jacket and been plenty warm. I purchased this as another super light/breathable fleece option. c build). Size is fine but the garment construction is an issue. I'll grant that mine may have a defect but the base of the collar is far too tight. Once zipped all the way up, which is the point for this piece, it's uncomfortably restrictive. But the top of the collar is loose. Very strange fit. I'd have to zipper it all the way down below the neck to be comfortable, but then my chest would be showing. Not cool. Also, and this is a design choice, there's a large seem midway down that goes around the shirt. Really not sure why they did this. It's very noticeable and you can feel it rubbing as you move. This is made for activity so I would assume you'd want as a seamless construction as possible. I think TNF went for more form than function on this one. Not what I was looking for. Read Less

Un indispensable

C’est le 2e que mon fils achète et moi je l’ai également, mais dans la version zip pleine longueur. Nous sommes du même avis: on le porterait tout le temps, c’est comme une seconde peau. Léger, avec un ratio épaisseur/chaleur impressionnant. On peut le porter seul ou en 2e couche, sous tous types de manteau. Un indispensable !

NorthFace Futurefleece

Nice colour, seems very light and thin but well constructed. The fit seems quite slim overall, torso and sleeves. Sleeves were a bit longer with loops, so something to consider. Overall seemed like would be a good thermal base layer or light fleece, but had to return due to fit.

Nice fleece

I have the jacket one with the hood and liked it enough to get the one without a hood. Comfy, lightweight and yet decent warmth considering how lightweight it is. It is trim fit. Keep that in mind in case you have to size up.

Light and Warm

The material is thinner than I imagined but that makes it really light and packable. Despite the thinness, it still is very warm as a baselayer. Only the best for the summit series.
