Ordered this compression sack for a -18 rated Mountain Hardware mummy bag and it was a perfect fit! Hard to reduce packing space with a bag this large, but were able to compress more than of it was in the stuff sack that came with the bag. Same great quality as compared to other Sea To Summit compression sacks I’ve purchased in the past.

Compression sacks make the difficult job of stuffing a fluffy sleeping bag into a small space to make backpacking or loading a canoe more efficient. This bag is well designed so that straps don't tangle. It compresses easily because of the straps. It is difficult finding a 35L compression bag but most warm sleeping bags require this size.

Sea to Summit is a brand that I trust. However, this bag is water resistant but not waterproof. Since I bought these for a whitewater canoe trip, I realize that the Sea to Summit eVac Dry Sack would have been a better choice. The eVac is a dry sack, waterproof (but not when submerged). It also compresses more easily by rolling the roll top because of the vent. Altitude Sports no longer carries the bag in this review but does carry the eVac Dry Sack which I now recommend instead.
Reducing volume easily to 1/3 makes a tremendous difference in backpacking and in use of canoe space. No stuff sack is as effective as a compression bag. Having a dry sleeping bag can save your life ... your sleeping bag belongs in a waterproof compression bag, even if it is carried inside a supposedly waterproof backpack. Very satisfied with this compression bag from sea2summit. My Nemo sleeping bag didnt come with one and this was perfect for that purpose!
