OR Helium Rain Jacket

A great upgrade for my ultralight kit. I’ve been wanting to add this for awhile, light and takes up minimal pack space. Tried it in a moderate rain and stayed dry and comfortable. Great rain jacket.

Parfait manteau de course

Porté pour la première fois lors d’un ultra-trail de 160km. Un déluge c’est abattu sur nous! Malgré le vent et la pluie, le manteau était très confortable et ne causait aucun désagrément lors de la course. Très bon achat

Outdoor research Helium black sz small

I was looking for a packable jacket that would provide me more protection from the rain than my Patagonia Houdini, and yet smaller and lighter than my outdoor research Interstellar jacket. tiffer than the Houdini, but that's what need to block out the rain and more wind.
The sizing is right where I can have a t shirts, a medium weight baselayer, and a micropuff with hood under this small sized helium.

The only thing I think that falls short is the length of the brim on the hood; 1.5"ore would make a difference.
Have yet to take it out into the pouring rain as of yet, but was out with some wet snow and it was without issue at this time.
But otherwise this is a good addition to my outdoor gear. Read Less

Great Jacket

This is a nice lightweight jacket. It's a present so hasn't been worn yet. I did notice it comes with a warning tag of "cancer and reproductive harm" which I assume comes from the weatherproofing. That's a little unsettling - I would expect OR to be using more sustainable and safe waterproofing techniques.

Packs small, works great!

I've loved earlier iterations of the Outdoor Research running shell, but this one shaves down the grams and packs into a pouch so small you can put it in a pocket. It's there when you need it!

super leger et compact

piece of garbage

Within weeks, the liner had started to separate from the shell. I had to duct tape it back onto the shell so the pockets actually worked.
