Critical areas in the sleeves, shoulders, and lower hem have synthetic insulation to avoid soakage, helping eliminate cold spots. A Pertex Quantum outer fabric is a lightweight organic cotton and polyamide mix that whisks away falling snow. The helmet-suitable hood is insulated and adjustable. A button-snap placket covers the front zipper, blocking chilly winds and precipitation. Soft and elastic sleeve cuffs along with the one-hand adjustment hem help seal out cold drafts.
