Useful Additional Cable

Quite thin at 5mm but useful for securing a saddle or helmet or other accessory. Could easily be used in combination with a thicker/longer cable as part of an overall locking system.

As expected from Kryptonite

I own a Kryptonite u-lock and trusted that their cable would also do the job of securing my bike. Great piece to add to your lock routine to ensure your bike stays where you leave it!

Extra security cable

Perfect quick addition to help lock up those detachable items on a bike. It's thin (5mm) so isn't going to stop anything but will serve as a good deterrent. Excellent shipping from Altitude on what was a busy sales weekend.

Great for small items

Was looking for a small lock that would fit through the seat of my bike, and this does the trick! Wouldn't use to lock up anything serious as it's quite thin.

I would only buy this

I would only buy this to secure something inexpensive. Not a bike wheel. Great for that purpose.

Enough to deter any amateur thief,

I bought it to protect my belongings and the Yeti cooler during travel outside the country. The wire thickness is enough to deter any amateur thief, and its length is perfect for hiding it from people's view. Its coating prevents damage to the surfaces where it is attached. Orange and gray are a good combination of colors.

Perfect to lock up the saddle

Does what I got it for perfectly. It's small enough to slide between the saddle and the rails and secure my saddle when locking up. This thing clearly wouldn't put up much resistance to a halfway well-equipped bike thief but it's not the point anyway. You should only consider securing smaller quick release accessories with it. saddle, through another sturdier loop cable (Kryptoflex 1007) that is locking up the front wheel and ultimately secure that one through a proper U-lock. Bottom line: when used as a complement to your locking system, it's perfectly appropriate to secure small parts. However, it shouldn't be used to lock up a bike if security is a concern. Read Less
