Hydrapak Recon Bottles

These are very good bottles for the regular price — even more so with the recent Altitude sale price. Easy to use, reliably leakproof, and easy to clean. I like that the silicone gasket in the lid comes out for cleaning. We have these in both 1 litre and 750 ml sizes. Highly recommended.

Why you need yet another water bottle

This is supposed to be the smartwater bottle killer and I would agree. It is well made and is light-ish. It has an easy to use twist cap that is wide mouth, so it won’t fit a standard filter size cap. There is a plastic gasket that is removable so it can be cleaned and provides a leak proof seal. how long it lasts. I like that there is no weird plastic taste. The downside is that it weighs more than a smartwater bottle but then again, I can put up with a few more grams for mother earth. The 1L weighs 189g, an extra 150g which won’t feel like much in the grand scheme of things unless you’re gram obsessed. Read Less

Love it!

I really like this drinking bottle. I work from home and I will fill up the bottle every morning and put on my desk. I like the easy open and close lid, but at the same time I don’t prefer to bring it out as the drinking part is not covered. Also, if u close it and flip the bottle, it will leak a few drops. But overall I love to use it at home.

Great lightweight bottle

Love the 1L size that still fits in my vehicle cup holder. Plastic is very lightweight, but looks crystal clear. Time will tell if it loses clarity over time. I really like the twist to drink feature, the flow is great.

Wanted to try something new

Wanted to try something new as I use nalgene mostly. Not as heavy as nalgene but not the lightest. Performs great without leaks, love clear color

Replacing my Nalgene bottles

Tired of the floppy lid of the Nalgene bottles. I like the wide opening, the pour flow and the ability to manage boiling water. We'll see if the cap doesn't freeze shut when the temperature goes way down.
