I love the airholes. So much better than regular balaclavas. The hole helps reduce sunglasses fog, condensation in the mask and gets you more uses between washes. The merino is not ichy/soft and I’d way rather have these natural fibres heating up in on my face.

little tighter. I don’t think the top part is necessary unless you are really sweaty.

If you you are first time buyer I’d start with only one because they don’t fit everyone’s face perfectly. I like the fabric right up to my eyes as I walk daily in winters down to -40. But some people think the fabric goes up too high.

So yeah the tube airholes fit slightly better I think, but if this one is on sale the fit is close enough. Read Less

Airhole Balaclava Hinge Merino

The merino balaclava would have been great. However, I tried it on at home but the nose and piece weren’t aligning. I asked my friend to try it as well but the nose stitching would always stay unaligned with the mouth piece. Had to return the product.

I tried it on at home but the nose and piece weren’t aligning. The balaclava feels a bit small despite getting the L/XL size. Quality of the material feels good and warm though.

Solid Purchase

I liked the fact that the balaclava had a longer neck, so that your neck is fully covered. However, it did get more wet than my regular tube. Maybe I breathe super weird when skiing?? I also purchased for my husband, and he loved it.

Very warm and my goggles don't fog!

Great balaclava. Material is very soft and warm. The hole is functional and helps keep my goggles from fogging up when snowboarding.

Very warm and Fits perfect

Got this for staying warm from the wind during boarding. Works well and able to breathe well without having a soggy mouth.

Nice warm, but doesn't block wind.

Super thin and warm, and not overly scratchy. Good for wearing under helmet, but wind passes through very easily, so a thicker fleece would be a better option depending on wind/temperature.

Comes with a bonus filter

Great baclava, soft and warm. I was surprised to see that it came with a little circular “filter” or mesh-like material to plug the mouth hole.
