Chloé, Justine and Maxime Dufour-Lapointe are three of the most accomplished Canadian freestyle skiers, they also happen to be sisters. They captured the hearts of the nation during their Olympic appearances, including Sochi 2014 where Justine and Chloé took home the gold and silver medals, respectively, in women's moguls. These sisters from Montreal have reached their sport’s highest heights and have become household names across Canada along the way.

Before the Slopes With the Dufour-Lapointe Sisters

If you try listing all of the Dufour-Lapointe sisters' accomplishments, it’s probably going to take you a while. Between Olympic success and World Championship appearances, Chloé, Justine and Maxime Dufour-Lapointe have done it all when it comes to freestyle skiing.

Freestyle skiing is not for the faint of heart. These three sisters have spent their lives flying, spinning, and flipping through the air at incredible speeds and none of them are strangers to the podium. In Sochi in 2014, they became the third trio of sisters to ever compete in the same Olympic event, with Justine and Chloé earning the gold and silver medals, respectively, in women’s moguls.

However, despite their individual success, for the Dufour-Lapointe sisters, skiing is a family affair. Our new episode of “5 Minutes Before” takes you inside their family cottage (where there’s no shortage of medals) as they prepare for a day out on the mountain. They discuss their early morning routine (coffee is a must), their top music to listen to on the chairlift (nothing beats Céline Dion), and the equipment they use - including pieces from their own brand! They also share some of their childhood memories and give us a tour of their beloved home.

Watch the video to see how these three champions prepare for training.
