The Stratos 50 combines ventilation innovation, stability and a top-loading design, for a feature loaded backpack that’s perfect for short backpacking excursions and Autumn overnights in the backcountry. Aside from its clean aesthetics, the Stratos 50 is a firm favourite for walkers and hikers thanks to its fully adjustable, ventilated AirSpeed™ back system. This system combines a single piece backpanel and hipbelt (which has a comfortable seamless interface) with highly breathable suspended mesh face, improving comfort in warmer conditions, even with a heavy load. Ergonomic shaping to the hipbelt, harness, yoke and backpanel further enhance its body-hugging comfort. Osprey equipped this pack with a zippered sleeping bag compartment that has a bellowed divider and gave it removable sleeping pad straps at the base of its exterior.

Compartments, Pockets & Features

The Stratos 50 has a double-clipped lid opening, and its top lid is entirely removable. Under the lid, the main compartment secures with draw-cord, and a convenient vertical side zipper also allows quick access to the main compartment. The top has a large, easy access pocket and the pack front has a vertically zipped expansion pocket for items like rain shell. The side of the pack has stretch mesh pockets and dual compression straps that can be used for additional storage. Osprey further equipped this pack with a detachable raincover stored in the bottom pocket for enhanced weather resistance and gave it their Stow-on-the-Go™ trekking pole attachment system.
