Couteau robuste

Beau couteau solide et robuste . Pas un couteau de poche , mais très pratique dans un sac à dos . J’aime beaucoup la prise assez grosse en caoutchouc.

Cool features

Great sharp knife. Cool features. Bit of a bulkier handle than I pictured, but it feels great to use so no worries there.

Im conflicted

The positives:
this nice is a very good fit for my large hands
there is a built in whistle
the plastic grip makes it easy to hold when wet

The negatives
Its really really really heavy in comparison to a wood based opinel knife
I really do not need the rope cutter or fire striker - but they are there and you clearly pay...Read More

I decided to keep this knife mostly because I tested out the fire striker and it was clearly to used to return. But in the future I would get an opinel knife with a wood handle and just add some more texture to the handle.
I had trouble understanding the size of the blade before purchase. I think the blade is about the size of a no10 but the whole unit is the size of a no12 Read Less

Very cool knife. This is a large knife and is very solid. Feels great in the hands and rubber handle will not slip.

Features:
• Blade length: 10 cm

Sandvik stainless steel:

Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel. It is anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives excellent cutting edge.

Handle:

Fibreglass-reinforced polyamide to whithstand shocks, humidity, and extreme temperatures(-40°C à +80°C). Pealess survival whistle functions in all weathers (110 decibels).

Safety ring:

Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives from the N° 06. Cut out of stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport).
